Teen Advisory Council
Formed in April, 1986, the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) provides an opportunity for teens in grades 8-12 from schools and organizations throughout Spokane County to get involved in community projects and initiatives of the Chase Youth Commission. The Teen Advisory Council meets the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, 6-7:30pm, at Spokane City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.
Each year, TAC is responsible for working in concert with the Youth Commission to organize, promote, and execute the Chas Youth Awards, BOBfest (Battle of the Bands), the Youth Issues Forum, and other community events sponsored by the Youth Commission. The teens who put together these projects are ultimately responsible for all aspects of their organization and take great pride in the standard of excellence that has come to be represented by CYC events.
In addition to projects, TAC members work with other community organizations and schools to raise awareness of opportunities for our community to invest in youth.
