TEEN – LEADERSHIP

This young man is a member of the Spokane Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, where he has earned the rank of Cadet Second Lieutenant. He is a very capable young man who has the respect and trust of both peer cadets and adult leaders, and has sought and excelled in leadership roles in every aspect of Civil Air Patrol missions. He welcomes the opportunity to teach younger cadets the elements of aerospace science in the classroom, and then supervise these same cadets as they built and tested model rockets, always thoughtful, well prepared, and attentive in his approach. This past December he and another Civil Air Patrol cadet planned and provided cadet leadership to an encampment on cold weather injury, which was attended by over 30 youth and adults. During the last three years he’s taught several emergency services courses for cadets in the Spokane Composite Squadron and has taught courses to adults and cadets at Ground Search and Rescue, and the eastern Washington Emergency Services Training Academy. These courses convey essential skills to cadets and adult Civil Air Patrol members. Never missing an opportunity to teach his fellow peers the list of his accomplishments is quite extensive.
