TEEN – COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Even as a little girl this high school freshmen has always looked for ways to volunteer and serve others. In grade school she served with a 4th grade class to visit seniors and as a Camp Fire girl she achieved the accomplishment of selling the most camp fire candy of anyone in the district. As she grew older so did her interests. In 8th grade she served as a senate page in Olympia for a week so she could learn more about government. During 2010 she took part in several centennials including: Boy Scouts, Father’s day, and Camp Fire. Working hard on the annual Camp Fire candy sale she donated 100% of her campership so that another kid who might not otherwise attend camp would be able to. What she is most proud of is being invited to be a speaker at the Spokane Kiwanis Camps for kids’ breakfast in December 2010. As Miss Spokane’s outstanding Teen she spent much of the last 12 months working to raise money and awareness for the Children’s Miracle network. Never missing an opportunity to help others she takes great pride in serving youth and takes every chance to help those less fortunate and younger than herself. She is a leader who inspires her friends to roll up their sleeves and pitch in to make their community a better place.
