MIDDLE SCHOOL GROUP – LEADERSHIP

Service leadership is at the heart of this class. Through their service these students are gaining skills like leadership, knowledge of their community, commitment to a cause, and satisfaction from their accomplishments. In one semester this leadership class has taken on four major community service projects including: a reading program partnering with Balboa students, volunteering at the Union Gospel Mission, organizing a school wide food drive for the 2nd Harvest Food Bank, and coordinating the coats for kids program at Salk. These students possess an incredible amount of maturity and enthusiasm. They maintain a continued willingness and eagerness to accept new challenges, which help them grow and develop as unique and open-minded individuals.
