Poshlyn Nicholson is the founder of ChaseYouth NFP, a passionate, fearless servant leader, youth and social justice advocate originally from Summit, Illinois. Currently, Poshlyn resides in central Illinois. She earned both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Social Work from Illinois State University.
Poshlyn has over 10 years of experience in youth development through her community involvement as a mentor, intern, and volunteer in various capacities. Her most notable experiences include serving as a YouthBuild Mclean County Case Manager for over three years and a retreat facilitator for Girls In Bloom, a Nonprofit based in her hometown, Poshlyn facilitated several workshops on identity, self-image, and conflict resolution for youth.
Other youth centered experiences include: Residential Counselor for Chestnut Health Systems for adolescent youth dealing with dual diagnosis, YWCA Girls Be You Program, Boys & Girls Club, Western Ave Community Center Tutor and Summer Camp Counselor. Most recently, Poshlyn is serving as a volunteer Wholeness Advocate for Divine Intellect, a nonprofit based in Peoria, IL, where she is instrumental in guiding teenage girls on their journey to wholeness through a healing centered approach.
